Various Seam Orientation Stands |
The seam orientation stand can be placed behind the seam annealing equipment and/or before the sizing equipment to help insure that the weld seam is in the 12 o'clock position. For some specific reasons, the unit can also move the weld within the 10 and 2 o’clock positions. The unit acts similar to a cross-roll straightener and has digital mechanical indicators for repeatable positioning and incremental adjustment. The unit has adjustment capability in three planes: horizontal, vertical and axial. The horizontal and vertical adjustment is manual while the axial can be either manual or motorized (optional). Push button controls (shipped “loose”) can be mounted to the operator's panel or Turkshead stand and will control the movement of the stand. Customer must build support stand (bolt hole patterns and weight are furnished) or provide necessary spacers (if space is available on the existing sizing base) to bring the unit to the correct pass line height.
