Inboard & Outboard Roll Stand |
Each pair of outboard and
inboard roll stands, bearing bocks, and retainers are all fabricated of high
strength castings. The inboard stands are machined with a keyway parallel with
tube mill center centerline, while outboard stands are machined with a keyway
perpendicular to tube mill centerline.
Top
and bottom alloy steel hardened and ground roll shafts will be supported by one
(1) inboard and one (1) outboard bearing block Assembly. Bearing block
assemblies contain tapered roller bearings that are fitted and shimmed. Each
bearing block assembly is supplied with grease fittings for lubrication. The
outboard stand bearing block assemblies support and house a floating outboard
inner race.
Top shaft bearing blocks are vertically adjustable and are equipped with single
point adjustment with digital readout for accurate positioning of upper roll
shafts.
Outboard
roll stands are designed for quick tooling changeovers. By simply loosening two
outboard stand mounting bolts, roll shaft retainer studs, and removing “C”
washers, roll stands may be moved quickly to expose roll tooling.
